The Waves by Mori Yūzan Poster Set reproduces a celebrated series of wave studies from the Hamonshū, the influential Japanese pattern design collection first published in the early twentieth century. Yūzan's waves are unlike the dramatic crests associated with Hokusai — they are measured, flowing, and deeply ornamental, drawn with the precision of a designer who understood rhythm as much as nature. Each composition in the set maps the movement of water through interlocking arcs, spiral foam, and layered swells rendered in rich indigo, ink black, and the occasional warm ochre or soft grey. The result is a body of work that feels both ancient and quietly modern.

As a set, these prints work especially well arranged in a row along a hallway, a staircase wall, or above a low console in a dining room.
