Babar Posters & Art Prints

Our Babar posters bring the charm of Jean de Brunhoff's classic elephant to your walls. This collection includes every vintage babar poster and art print we offer, from storybook covers to scenes of travel and play. Each design is made for anyone who loves classic French children's illustration. They also make a thoughtful gift for new parents and book lovers.

Babar Posters and Art Prints for Every Room

Babar first appeared in 1931 in Histoire de Babar, written and illustrated by Jean de Brunhoff. The stories follow a young elephant who travels to the city, learns new ways and later returns home as king. Because of this, the bold lettering, simple shapes and warm colors of the books give these designs a timeless look.

The range covers many favorite moments. You can choose lively scenes such as Babar playing tennis, flying a plane, diving or riding in a red car. Quiet scenes include a hammock nap, a hot air balloon ride and a trip across the sea. Many of our Babar prints are also available as sets, which makes it simple to pair two designs side by side.

These Babar posters fit many rooms. They suit a nursery or kids' room, and they also work well in a playroom or a bright hallway. For a more grown up look, the horizontal designs work well in a living room or a reading corner. Each design comes in several sizes, from small prints to large statement pieces.

If you are decorating a child's room, our nursery posters collection offers more gentle wall art for kids. Another classic storybook choice is our vintage Winnie-the-Pooh posters collection (USA only), which features illustrations from the 1920s.

Similarly, readers who enjoy European picture books may like our Elsa Beskow posters collection. For more classic wall art from past decades, browse our vintage art prints collection. Together with our Babar prints, these collections help you build a warm and consistent display.
