The Dove No. 13 by Hilma af Klint Poster

The Dove No. 13 is one of the most quietly radical works in Hilma af Klint's celebrated series, painted decades before abstract art entered the mainstream. Created in the early twentieth century as part of her larger metaphysical project, the composition uses soft, sweeping organic forms and a pale, luminous palette to suggest themes of duality, unity, and spiritual transcendence. Curved shapes interlock and mirror one another across the canvas, giving the work a sense of balance that feels both meditative and architecturally precise. The restrained use of colour, drawing on whites, greys, and subtle blush tones, lends the piece an airy, almost otherworldly quality that distinguishes it from the bold geometries more commonly associated with early abstraction.

Works from this series tend to settle naturally into spaces that favor calm and intention. A bedroom, a reading corner, or a home office benefits most from the piece's contemplative mood, particularly in interiors that lean toward Japandi, Scandinavian, or soft minimalist aesthetics. The pale tonal range pairs well with natural linen, raw wood, and muted stone surfaces, adding visual depth without competing for attention against bolder furnishings.

Each print is produced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified matte paper with museum-quality high-resolution output, delivering the fine tonal gradations that make af Klint's work so distinctive. Optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood with shatterproof plexiglass, supplied ready to hang straight from the box.
