Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?

A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.

Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?

A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.

Q: Are the art prints custom made?

A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

December by Elsa Beskow is a beloved illustration from the Swedish artist and author whose picture book work has captured childhood wonder for over a century. The scene depicts the quiet magic of a Nordic winter, with children wrapped in warm winter clothing, sleds in hand, moving through a softly falling snow. Beskow's signature style combines gentle folk-art warmth with a storybook tenderness that feels both nostalgic and deeply human. The muted winter palette of cool blues, soft whites, and earthy reds creates a hushed, intimate mood that speaks to the coziness of the season rather than its spectacle.

This print finds a natural home in Scandinavian and Japandi-styled interiors, where its restrained colour palette and folk-inspired line work sit comfortably alongside natural wood tones and linen textures. It works equally well in a child's bedroom or nursery, where the storybook quality adds a layer of imaginative warmth, and in a hallway or living room as a seasonal focal point that feels considered rather than merely decorative. Its muted tones mean it transitions naturally between winter months and the rest of the year.

Each print is produced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified paper with a museum-quality matte finish, ensuring the delicate linework and soft tones of Beskow's illustration are rendered with clarity and depth. Optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood with shatterproof plexiglass, arriving ready to hang straight from the box.

Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving within three to seven business days. Production is handled locally wherever possible, tracking is included, and returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
