Fruit Pattern by William Morris is one of the most celebrated designs to emerge from the British Arts and Crafts movement, created in 1866 and originally produced as a hand-block printed wallpaper. The composition arranges pomegranates, pears, and lush foliage into a rhythmic, interlocking repeat that feels simultaneously structured and organic. Morris drew on medieval tapestry and Persian textile traditions, layering rich ochres, deep greens, and warm russet tones against an earthy background. The result is dense with detail yet surprisingly balanced, each element given its own weight within the whole.

This kind of richly patterned, nature-driven artwork suits interiors that lean traditional, Arts and Crafts, or maximalist eclectic.
