Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?
A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.
Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?
A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.
Q: Are the art prints custom made?
A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Towada Lake Aomori is one of Hasui Kawase's most quietly captivating landscape compositions, depicting the stillness of a lakeside scene at dusk. Rendered in the tradition of early twentieth-century Japanese woodblock printing, the scene draws the eye across calm water reflecting the last hues of twilight — deep indigo overhead giving way to softer rose and amber near the horizon. Delicate branches reach into the frame from the foreground, their scattered leaves adding a sense of seasonal transience that is central to the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of mono no aware. Hasui Kawase was one of the defining figures of the shin-hanga movement, a style that revitalised traditional ukiyo-e techniques by introducing more naturalistic light and atmospheric depth, often inspired by his travels across Japan. This print exemplifies his mastery of mood: there is no drama here, only a profound and unhurried stillness.
Ukiyo-e landscapes of this tone suit interiors that lean toward calm and considered curation. The muted twilight palette — indigo, dusky rose, and soft grey — works naturally in a Japandi or Scandinavian-influenced space, and the vertical or square compositions common to this genre sit well in a bedroom, a reading corner, or a long hallway where something contemplative is welcome. The cool tones complement natural wood finishes, linen textiles, and understated furniture, making this a strong anchor piece for a restrained, nature-inspired interior.
Every print is produced to museum-quality standards on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified paper, with a fine matte finish that faithfully renders the subtle gradients and line work characteristic of Hasui's prints. High-resolution reproduction ensures that the delicate detailing in the branches and water surface is fully preserved. For a ready-to-hang solution, optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood with shatterproof plexiglass.
Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving in three to seven business days. Production is handled locally wherever possible, keeping customs and import fees out of the picture for most regions. Every order includes tracking, and returns are accepted within 30 days.
