Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?
A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.
Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?
A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.
Q: Are the art prints custom made?
A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Katsushika Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa is one of the most recognised images in the history of art. Created around 1831 as part of his Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, the print captures a towering, claw-like wave about to engulf three fishing boats, with the serene, snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji framed in the distance beneath it. The composition's dramatic contrast between the churning ocean and the stillness of the mountain, rendered in deep Prussian blue and white, reflects the Japanese woodblock tradition at its most powerful. There is a tension in the image that never resolves — the wave is always about to break — and that suspended energy is a large part of what has kept this print compelling for nearly two centuries.
This woodblock masterpiece suits a wide range of interiors. In a Japandi or minimalist living room, the restrained blue-and-white palette reads as quietly refined against pale walls or natural wood tones. In a more eclectic or mid-century modern space, the boldness of the composition holds its own among stronger colours and textures. It works especially well in a study, a home office, or a hallway where a single strong image can carry the wall without competing with surrounding furniture.
Reproduced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified paper with a smooth matte finish, the print delivers sharp detail and rich tonal depth — the gradation of the blue tones and the fine linework of the wave's foam are rendered with museum-quality precision. Framing options in black, white, or natural pine are available, each fitted with shatterproof plexiglass and ready to hang straight from the box.
Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving within three to seven business days. Production is handled locally where possible, and tracking is included with every order. Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt.
