Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?
A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.
Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?
A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.
Q: Are the art prints custom made?
A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi's Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre is one of the most dramatic and iconic images in the entire history of Japanese woodblock printmaking. This third sheet of the celebrated triptych depicts the sorceress Takiyasha summoning a colossal skeletal spectre within the ruined Soma Palace, a scene drawn from the kabuki play Masakado. The composition is extraordinary in its scale and tension: the enormous skeleton looms over the palace interior while samurai recoil in terror below, its bones rendered with a vividness that still feels arresting nearly two centuries after Kuniyoshi completed the series around 1844. The colour palette is characteristically bold, combining deep indigos, earthy ochres, and pale ghostly tones that heighten the supernatural atmosphere. It is a masterwork of the musha-e warrior print tradition, and also a testament to Kuniyoshi's inventive imagination and technical command of the woodblock medium.
This print works especially well as a statement piece in a living room, study, or hallway where a strong visual anchor is needed. Its dark, theatrical mood suits interiors with an eclectic, maximalist, or Japandi sensibility, and it pairs naturally with deep-toned furnishings, natural wood, or lacquered black frames. The supernatural subject matter and rich graphic quality also make it a compelling choice for a home office or creative studio where bold, culturally resonant art sets the tone.
Each reproduction is printed on premium 200 g/m2 FSC-certified paper with a museum-quality matte finish and sharp, high-resolution detail that does justice to Kuniyoshi's intricate linework and layered colour. Framing is available in black, white, or natural pine with shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang straight from the box.
Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving in three to seven business days. Production is handled locally wherever possible, and customers in supported regions pay no customs or import fees. Every order includes tracking, and a 30-day return policy applies.
