Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?
A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.
Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?
A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.
Q: Are the art prints custom made?
A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

The Equatorial Jungle is one of Henri Rousseau's most immersive late works, completed in 1909 and now held in the collection of the National Gallery of Art in Washington. Rousseau — a self-taught painter working entirely outside the academic tradition — conjured a dense, dreamlike rainforest interior populated with exotic foliage, hidden creatures, and an atmosphere of wild stillness. The composition is characterised by overlapping layers of giant leaves, tangled vines, and richly saturated greens that push right to the canvas edges, creating the sensation of being enveloped by the jungle itself. A lion or large cat lurks among the vegetation, partially concealed, lending the scene a quiet tension that keeps the eye searching. Rousseau never visited a tropical jungle in his life; his remarkable visions were drawn from visits to the botanical gardens and natural history museums of Paris, and from illustrations in popular magazines — yet the paintings feel utterly convincing and alive.
This kind of bold, graphic work sits comfortably in spaces that benefit from strong colour and visual depth. A reading room, a moody home office, or a living room with natural wood furniture and earthy tones would suit it particularly well. The deep greens and warm ochres work with Japandi and mid-century modern interiors alike, and the exotic subject matter makes it a natural conversation piece in an eclectic or maximalist setting. As a large-format print, it can anchor a wall on its own; at smaller sizes, it pairs well with other botanical or nature-inspired prints.
Reproduced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified paper with a museum-quality matte finish, the print captures the dense layering of Rousseau's original with sharp, high-resolution detail. Optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood with shatterproof plexiglass, delivered ready to hang.
Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving in three to seven business days. Production is handled locally where possible to keep things efficient, and there are no customs or import fees in supported regions. Every order comes with tracking, and a 30-day return policy is included for peace of mind.
