Q: What makes Poster Room's art prints different from standard posters?
A: Our art prints are printed on thick, museum-quality archival matte paper that's noticeably heavier and more substantial than standard posters. Paired with gallery-grade inks, they produce rich, true-to-life colors and sharp detail that hold up beautifully for years to come.
Q: Do framed posters come ready to hang?
A: Yes, every framed piece arrives complete with a lightweight, shatterproof acrylic cover and hanging hardware included, so it's ready to display straight out of the box.
Q: Are the art prints custom made?
A: Yes. Every poster and framed art print is custom printed and made to order, so each piece is crafted individually with care rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi's Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre is one of the most electrifying images in the entire woodblock print tradition. This second panel of the celebrated triptych depicts Princess Takiyasha summoning a monstrous skeleton specter — a towering, skeletal apparition conjured to terrorize the samurai Mitsukuni as he investigates the ruins of Soma Palace. Kuniyoshi rendered the scene with extraordinary dynamism: the skeleton looms large across the composition, its bleached bones crackling with supernatural energy, while the witch below commands the chaos with fierce composure. Created around 1844, the work drew on the popular kabuki legend of Takiyasha-hime and became an enduring symbol of Kuniyoshi's genius for combining horror, drama, and decorative brilliance. The muted indigo and ochre palette, punctuated by the stark white of bone, gives the image an almost cinematic intensity.
This kind of bold, narrative artwork commands attention in spaces where restraint would be wasted. It works particularly well as a focal point in a study, home library, or living room with a dark, moody atmosphere — think deep-toned walls, leather furnishings, or a maximalist gallery wall. Collectors drawn to Japanese art, mythology, or ukiyo-e will find it sits naturally alongside other woodblock works, while its graphic power also makes it a striking standalone piece in an otherwise minimal setting.
The print is produced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC-certified paper with a museum-quality matte finish, ensuring the ink tones remain rich and the fine linework stays crisp. Optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood, fitted with shatterproof plexiglass and ready to hang straight from the box.
Each order is printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving within three to seven business days. Production is handled locally where possible, and orders to supported regions incur no customs or import fees. Full tracking is included, and every purchase is covered by a 30-day return policy.
